Should I choose a Cooling Down Period on company level or on survey level?
Great question!
You can choose one or the two, or a combination of them.
The Cooling Down Period works by looking at the last time a certain email address received a survey. If this date is within the Cooling Down Period, it will stop any new invitation.
Now, the difference between a company-wide Cooling Down Period and one on survey-level is that if the Cooling Down Period is company wide, it will stop ANY new survey within that time, while if it’s on survey level it will stop only that survey.
Here a couple of examples:
- You enable it on company-level, timeframe 2 weeks: if a candidate received any survey in the last two weeks, they won’t get another one
- You enable it on company-level, timeframe 2 weeks: if a candidate received a survey longer than 2 weeks ago, they will get another one
- You enable it on company-level, timeframe 1 month and then you disable the Cooling Down Period on survey-level for one of your surveys (from the Advanced Survey Settings): if a candidate received any survey in the last month, they can’t receive another survey except the one that has the Cooling Down Period disabled on survey-level
- You disable it on company-level and then enable it on survey-level for one of your surveys, timeframe 1 month: if a candidate received any survey in the last month, they can receive any another survey except the one that has the Cooling Down Period enabled on survey-level.
These are just a few scenarios that can help you understand the difference between the two Cooling Down Period options and how to combine them. If you're still in doubt, feel free to reach out to us via the chat! We're always happy to help.
