Why can't I remove a filter in my dashboard?

If there's an active filter in your dashboard that can't be removed, you are most likely part of a Data Access Policy in Starred.

Data Access Policies are defined by your system admins and are indeed meant to limit what you can see in the dashboard, that's why you can't remove the filter.
