Why is the invitation email sent from Starred instead of my company domain?
By default, Starred sends invitation emails from the “[email protected]” email address, unless you have configured a custom sending domain.
Custom sending domains are an add-on feature to your license, which you can discuss with your Customer Success Manager.
The main difference between sending through Starred's domain and your own custom sending domain are the following:
- some email providers report invitation emails that come from Starred's domain as “spam”. There is nothing we can do on our end to prove that we have your permission to send these emails. Starred's customers find that this happens way less when enabling a custom sending domain.
- when sending an email through a custom sending domain, you can choose what email to use for the "from" email address. Most likely, you'll use your company email address ([email protected]).
